The exhibit opened May 21, 2012 at the Seattle Center at the former site of the Fun Forest.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chihuly_Garden_and_Glass#cite_note-1 The project includes three primary components: the Garden, the Glasshouse, and the Interior Exhibits, with significant secondary spaces including a café https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chihuly_Garden_and_Glass#cite_note-2 The installation in the Glasshouse is an expansive 100-foot long sculpture and is one of Chihuly’s largest suspended sculptures.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chihuly_Garden_and_Glass#cite_note-3 The facility was designed by Owen Richards Architects and was awarded LEED silver certification from the USGBC.
Chihuly's glass sculpture are some of the most original colorful and fascinating art exhibitions I have seen.
