Washington state is best known in recent history for Mount St Helens which had an enormous eruption. There are also Mt Rainier, Mt Barker and other large volcanic peaks. Near the ocean and on Puget sound, it rains and is foggy, but inland the land is dry.

La Conner is a small fishing village north of Seattle on the way to Deception pass.

Kayak point golf course is a typical north west course with huge trees.

Discovery park is north suburbs Seattle.

Chambers Bay hosted me in 2013 and the US Open in 2015.

Newcastle golf is in the hills east of Seattle with view back to the city.
